This association was founded to promote and preserve Southern Gospel Music. Also, this being a South Carolina based association we will recognize the contributions which have been made by residents of this state. Our plan is to have and awards program once each year where those who have made a contribution to Southern Gospel Music and have lived in South Carolina can be awarded. There will be an advisory board which will among other duties, review the nominees for awards. There will be a chairman picked each year for someone who has made a contribution to Southern Gospel Music in South Carolina but was not selected by the membership. The decision of the advisory board will be the final word on who is honored each year.
